Balm Balm Q & A

Q: I have seen lots in the Press & Media about Bisphenol A (BPA). I would like to know what kind of plastic you use in your products and are they BPA free?
A: Hello. I can happily state that Bisphenol-A and Phthalates are not used directly or indirectly, as additives or processing aids in the manufacture of any of our Plastics.

Q: My five year old daughter has a cold and the subsequent sore nose. We usually use vaseline but I am keen to find a natural alternative.
A: I think you need two of our lip balms. I imagine a 5 year old little girl would best like the Rose Geranium lip balm, but the very best for her at this moment would be the Tea Tree one. Once the problem has cleared up, she can use the Rose Geranium.
"What a great product! I managed to keep my daughter on the tea tree balm her nose has cleared up almost overnight - amazing! Consider me a loyal customer. - Naomi"

Q: I am just wondering whether your fragrance free face balm would be suitable to use if you have acne-prone skin?
A: Hi Charlotte,Yes, the Fragrance Free Balm Balm would be fine for acne prone skin. You might find that the Tea Tree one is even better though as the Tea Tree will work on any bacteria that is kicking around. You could try your Lip Balm as moisturiser for a couple of days. Either one will feel 'oily' to begin with and you can combat this by using it on damp skin but it will absorb in a few minutes anyway. People are often tempted to use products which dry out the skin on problem skins but often the best results comes from 'feeding' it - like a plant, it will flourish under the right conditions. So don't be put off by the oily texture, after a few days you will love it!

Q: As I am using serum, eye cream and other skin care products, when should I use the Face Balm?
A: Balm Balm Face Balm is a nourishing, moisturizing product which can be used partially or fully on face and neck depending on individual needs. It can be used after toner and serum. Our Face Balm may not be used in place of your existing products, but can be used together to get the best effect.

Q: The texture of Balm Balm is a bit different. The balm dissolves into oil-like texture, doesn’t it too nourishing?
A: Yes, the texture of our Balm Balm is different from many other lotion products. Thus, many friends are not used to it during the initial period. In fact, after the balm is dissolved by the temperature of fingertip, the oil-like texture is very easy to apply evenly, and within 30 seconds it will be absorbed completely into the skin, fully nourishing but not greasy. Besides, a little goes a long way (just 1 / 3 to 1 / 4 of similar products), no doubt it is a good choice.

Q: Some of the Balm Balm products are added with tea tree and geranium essential oil. Do they have different functions?
A: Of course. Essential oils not only add on different scents to the products, they also provide different healing effects. In fact, Western herbal essential oils are like the Chinese medicine in the Orient. Its effects are mild and not harming, and need longer time to see the effect.

Q: It is written on the packaging that the balm can be used in any part of the body. Is that true?
A: The main function of Balm Balm is to nourish and moisturize. Moreover, it is made of 100% natural organic ingredients. Since Balm Balm can be used on the most sensitive lips, it can of course be used to moisturize any other dry parts of the body, whether it is the face, cuticles or elbow, heel, and other parts which are prone to dry and crack. Be rest-assured that Balm Balm can give you full nourishing, feel free to use it depending on your personal needs.

Q: Soon after applying the lip balm, I feel like I did not apply anything on my lips. Is this normal?
A: The ingredients of Balm Balm lip balm are beeswax and vegetable oils with essential oils, that is why it can be 100% completely absorbed into the lips. In just about 30 seconds, you can feel the original smear of lip balm on the lips vanished. Most lip balms in the market are made based on mineral oil. Products labeled PETROLATUM, Mineral Oil, Vaseline, etc. are actually petrochemical, which is mineral oil. Mineral oil will form a barrier between the lips and the air. You will get protection coverage once applying mineral oil, but in fact it will not be absorbed by the lips, and you will accidentally swallowed it into your stomach! Who wants to eat mineral oil?!
